In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy. Essential Responsibilities Provide leadership for organization with regards to Quality and Technical activities Drive improvement programs for the quality management system and provide process method excellence throughout the organization Drive rigorous cost of quality focus especially on scrap and rework Provide the technical leadership on problem identification and resolution on all problems Select, hire, train, and provide ongoing leadership of assigned personnel to meet schedules, quality and measurements, and organizational goals Manage generic manufacturing process programs and lead area in pursuit of state of the art technology and processes that will enhance organization's produce ability Drive Quality Programs for employee participation and provide leadership in Lean/Brilliant Factory initiatives Manage and establish priorities for quality control and data-books organizations Compile and report all organization measurements on quality and cost of quality Interface with design engineering, projects, assembly, and vendors to assure requirements are met on time meeting specifications Act as main point of contact and key manufacturing resource for business audits, customer interface and RCA's Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university / engineering degree 7 years of experience in a production / manufacturing-oriented business in areas such as manufacturing quality, special process management, process improvement, manufacturing engineering, NDT, Welding engineering 5 years of experience leading teams Desired Characteristics Deep Knowledge/mastery of machining / fabricating / welding / PWHT and assembly and test processes ASNDT Level III certification Welding Engineering Lean / Sig Sigma and or other continuous improvement related expertise and certifications Strong oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Proven analytical abilities Six Sigma Black-belt Locations: Houston, TX Baker Hughes, a GE company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
