The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance of the facility as well as the production equipment - including preventive maintenance, inspections, and calibrations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Perform skilled maintenance and repair services on a variety of facility systems (mechanical, electrical, and/or building) to ensure safety and quality standards
+ Implement and improve methods, practices, and techniques of maintaining building and facilities to identify and address recurring problems with machinery, equipment and/or parts.
+ Conduct periodic inspections to evaluate requests for repair and the general state of the facilities.
+ Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.
+ Responsible for maintaining all preventive maintenance and inspection schedules.
+ Observes all safety programs and safety practices; Maintains a safe and clean work area
+ Perform work, promote teamwork and communicate in conjunction with our culture and corporate standards (Safety/Environmental, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Communication, Internal Controls, etc.).
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Contribute to the maintenance of all facilities in an operational state in respect of established standards
+ Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance and repair methods to address recurring problems
+ 5 years of relevant experience in production maintenance
+ In-depth knowledge of maintenance practices and guidelines
+ In-depth knowledge of various facility systems
+ Material handling equipment (Lift truck, two wheeled truck, carts, etc.)
+ Cranes, hoist, screw jacks, hydraulic jacks
+ Basic Computer skills (MS Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet)
+ Organizational skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization as well as outside vendors/contractors.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
+ This position requires the incumbent to stand for extended periods, frequently grasp tools, stoop, crouch, reach, stand, and walk when performing duties; twist and reach.
+ Specific vision abilities include close, distance and peripheral vision.
+ Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
+ Able to work in a non-climate controlled factory environment.
Education & Experience:
+ High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
+ 5 years related experience in a manufacturing/shop environment
