Volt seeks Composite fabricators for our client in the McKinney, TX area
Hours; 8:00am to 5:00pm
DESCRIPTION/COMMENT: Individuals will be assigned to work with a team of operators, technicians, and engineers responsible for the fabrication and assembly of various advanced product center assemblies (radomes and composite structures). Individuals will use various hand tools, powered hand tools, torque tools, and measurement tools such as calipers. Individuals will operate ovens. Computers are used to follow detailed process planning. Candidates should have the ability to be cross trained on multiple processes. Individuals will perform a wide variety of tasks in support of the production environment such as tool preparation, layup, bagging parts for cure, part cleanup with powered tools, precision machining, secondary bonding, coatings, and hardware installation.
ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS: Required Skills: The candidate must have basic computer and technical skills because certain equipment will demand it. Must be able to communicate effectively, manage more than one job at a time and be flexible with the work as needed.
DESIRED SKILLS: Related manufacturing experience working in an aerospace/defense industry Strong safety focus
